Join us July 14-18 for “mommy and me” Camp Tinkergarten

Camp Tinkergarten transforms our weekly Tinkergarten class into an immersive 5-day summer camp adventure. This is family camp at its best! Daily activities provide everyone with fresh air, connection with nature and good old-fashioned outdoor play! This summer, we focus on communication—the symphony of skills kids activate in order to receive communication from others, process that communication, and express back out their ideas. To make it extra joyful, we frame all of our lessons around a fun Camp Tinkergarten theme.

What Will We Experience?

• Band Camp – Explore the sounds of animals communicating use what mother nature offers to make some sounds of your own!
• Mud Play! -Experience a variety of approaches to make different types of MUD! Answer the question How can we communicate how we feel about mud today?
• Space Camp – The night sky is not only full of bright stars, it is full of stories. We’ll work together to turn ordinary cloth into a beautiful night sky that is full of our own stories.
• Water Park– What is more stimulating and soothing in summer than water play? Use water and everyday objects to make a pretend water park.
• The Great Camp Out– Discover a treasure box full of sticks and bandannas with a special invitation to create cozy camping shelters for your stuffy friends. What is camping (or life, really) without food to give us energy and enjoy time together? We’ll set up fires and mud kitchens in which we whip up nature treats to “enjoy” together.

Every participant will receive a Camp Tinkergarten bandanna to keep!

Each lesson will gently highlight a different aspect of communication. Throughout the series, we’ll also attune explorers and grown-ups to how important Tinkergarten class rituals help kids strengthen their communication skills. We’ll also teach our special summer “Camping With Our Friends” song to support kids with active listening and non-verbal communication.
