Tinkergarten Fall Lantern Walks are happening all over the country — and we’re thrilled to host a 14th Annual Lantern Walk right here in Williamsburg!
This beloved tradition is designed to help children (and grown-ups, too!) welcome the darkness of winter and embrace this natural change with warmth, joy, and wonder. It’s truly one of our favorite events of the year — and we can’t wait to share the magic with you.
Thursday, November 6 at 4:45 – 5:30 PM: Don’t forget to change your clocks back on November 2!
Basset Trace Nature Trail, Williamsburg, VA: Follow the sign to the Evergreen Loop Trail to find our meeting spot!
Free and open to the community: Bring friends and family! All are welcome.
Lantern Light Walk: Stroll together through the woods at dusk, guided by your glowing lanterns.
Songs & Celebration: Join in simple songs and stories that honor the changing season.
Warm Apple Cider: Gather for a cozy “Tinkergarten Teatime” as we sip cider and connect as a community.
Family Connection: Experience what Tinkergarten is all about—joyful, nature-based learning and play for the whole family.

Our Lantern Walk will be on Thursday November 6 at 4:45 at Bassett Trace Nature Trail. Bring friends and neighbors—the more the merrier!
Bring your own lantern or make one at home! Simple paper, jar, or recycled-material lanterns are perfect. Check out this DIY jar lantern from Tinkergarten for at home fun. (Note: if you are currently enrolled in Fall Tinkergarten, we will be making our own lanterns in class!)
Come see what makes Tinkergarten so special — the laughter, the community, and the magic of learning together outdoors.
We hope you’ll walk with us, shine your light, and celebrate the beauty of the changing season.
We will contact you with event details once you submit this form. RSVP not required but genuinely appreciated!
