Puppy Problems
Today’s Invention- Help Feed Finn! How can the puppy fix himself lunch?
This is Finn. He is my nine week old Irish Setter puppy! Finn joined our family one week before social distancing began and boy do we LOVE having the distraction of him! Look how much he grew from Day 1– Day 20 of being with us!
Finn loves to play with his pet giraffe and is very good at fetching a ball and bringing it back to you. Sometimes when he sleeps, he dreams he is running fast! I know because his legs move as if he is running but he is sleeping! Finn even gets the hiccups just like you and me.
Well, Finn has a problem. He loves to eat! Because he is a puppy and growing so fast, he gets three meals a day. He eats a cup of dry food at each meal. But there is an issue. Sometimes at lunchtime, I am not available to feed him on time. He gets hungry and is so young he doesn’t have the patience to wait. He wants his food right at 12:00 on the dot!
He wants to be able to fill his bowl and feed himself! Can you help him?
Things to consider– Finn does not have opposable thumbs. That is, he does not have thumbs like us and is therefore unable to grab things with his paws. I have noticed he uses his mouth instead!
Something else to note is that his food is in a big bag closed with a chip clip. And his bowl is easily accessible. He needs only a a cup of dry food for lunchtime.
